KCNA Commentary on S. Korean Authorities' "Story of Crisis in August"

Pyongyang, August 9 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet forces are kicking off the anti-DPRK burlesque while spreading a "story of crisis in August".
They spread rumor that the DPRK's test-fire of ICBM Hwasong-14 passed the "red line," increasing the U.S. possibility of military attack, and the DPRK would make another tougher military step on the occasion of the joint military drill Ulji Freedom Guardian scheduled for late August.
This is a revelation of the sinister intention to lay the blame for the tension of the Korean peninsula on the DPRK, curry favor with their master U.S. and hype their reckless military confrontation racket.
It is only the south Korean authorities who are working hard to deny the fact that the U.S. is the criminal persistently increasing the danger of nuclear war on the peninsula.
The U.S. is a state of aggression and war which has posed a serious threat to the peace and security of the Korean peninsula and the region while pursuing the extreme hostile policy toward the DPRK and nuclear blackmail for more than a half century.
The U.S. huge nuclear strategic assets are watching for a chance to ignite a war of aggression while busying themselves on the peninsula and the region.
It is the essential strategic option for the DPRK to take the road of bolstering up the nuclear force in order to defend the country's sovereignty and the nation's right to existence from the U.S. reckless obstructive moves.
The DPRK has provided a reliable guarantee for firmly preserving the peace and security of the peninsula and the region. Its successive ICBM test-fires were a stern warning to the U.S. which is slapping the harshest sanctions while letting out rhetoric out of discretion.
Now is the time for the south Korean authorities to behave with greater prudence and self-control than ever before, not going busy with currying favor with their master U.S. as the DPRK clearly showed the world that it has capability of making surprise launch of ICBM any time and any place and the entire U.S. mainland is in the firing range of the DPRK.
This being a hard reality, they are zealously availing themselves of the U.S. military counteractions, hit hard by the DPRK's test-fire of ICBM targeted against the U.S.
Their anti-DPRK moves, staged to the tune of lunatic Trump's rhetoric that he would not rule out a war, are aggravating the tension on the peninsula.
If the south Korean authorities persistently take the road of following the U.S., the "story of crisis in August" will come to reality, putting their existence at peril.
They should behave with discretion if they want to escape a catastrophic disaster. -0-
