Japan Urged Not to Play Gamble on Its Destiny

Pyongyang, June 8 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the National Peace Committee of Korea made public a statement Wednesday to denounce the Abe group who is viciously slandering the DPRK's steps of bolstering its military capability for self-defence while taking the lead in following the U.S. moves to impose sanctions and pressure on the DPRK.

Prime Minister Abe, Chief Cabinet Secretary Suga, Defense Minister Inada and other heavyweights of Japan vied with each other to attend official and unofficial meetings such as G-7 summit and "Asia Security Conference" and vociferate about "nuclear threat from north Korea" and "grave challenge", the statement noted, and said:

Japan would easily estimate whom the DPRK nuclear force buildup is aiming at. However, it is obtrusively making a great fuss over it. This can not be construed otherwise than scream by a thief being frightened even by the rustles in the brush.

Whenever the DPRK launched ballistic missiles, Japan had vociferated about "security uneasiness". Lurking behind it is a cunning and sinister purpose to revive militarism and realize the ambition for reinvasion of Asia by putting spurs to turning Japan into a military giant under the pretext of "nuclear threat from north Korea".

That's why Japan openly claims that the strong and enduring U.S.-Japan alliance is now playing the role for regional security, beyond the defense of its territory.

If Japan is concerned about its security, it should not act a poodle of the U.S. but withdraw its hostile policy toward the DPRK and remove the U.S. military bases for aggression from its territory.

It should be mindful that its archipelago may be reduced into ashes before the U.S. in case of contingency, if it behaves wickedly under the eyes of the DPRK as now.

Japan is the sworn enemy of the Korean people as it committed thrice-cursed crimes against them and left unhealed wounds.

Japan, an island country, should not play a dangerous gamble on its destiny before the merciless and invincible nuclear force of the DPRK. -0-
