Pyongyang, October 28 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in an article says that the aim sought by the U.S. in its campaign is to tarnish the image of the DPRK by internationalizing its non-existent "human rights" issue and, furthermore, bring down by force of arms the social system and ideology chosen by the Korean people themselves.
The article goes on:
It is the U.S. trite method to find fault with the "human rights
issue" in the countries that incur its displeasure, pull up them over
the issue and interfere in their internal affairs and topple their
The U.S. used this method for tarnishing the image of the socialist countries and bringing them down.
In recent years legitimate governments were toppled and replaced by
pro-U.S., pro-West ones in some countries of Europe and Mideast owing to
the U.S. "human rights" offensive.
It is a major method of fighting wars of aggression employed by the
U.S. that it makes much fuss about "human rights" performance in other
countries by exaggerating and internationalizing it and hurls huge
troops into operations against it under the pretext of "championing
human rights" when an opportunity presents itself and overthrows the
legitimate sovereign state overnight.
The wars in Grenada, Panama, former Yugoslavia, etc. in the 80s and
the 90s of the last century were fought without exception under the
pretext of "championing the human rights". The same can be said of the
wars in Afghanistan, Iraq and some other countries in the Mideast in the
History teaches the lesson that the U.S. "human rights" offensive is
always accompanied by military intervention for aggression.
The U.S. anti-DPRK "human rights" campaign is not a temporary one
but a long-standing strategy prompted by its inveterate hostility
towards the DPRK.
The army and people of the DPRK will never allow the U.S. "human rights" campaign. -0-
