Some statements issued by the DPRK at the time of the invasion of Grenada
The US launched the armed invasion against Grenada , an insland nation
situated in the Caribbean Sea , with the involvement of thousands of
paratroops and the Marine Corps on October 25.
Washington has
employed every possible means such as economic blockade, downfall and
sabotage to establish a pro-US puppet regime from long time ago, regarding Grenada that is pursuing independent and progressive policies as a thorn in its flesh.
The current situation prevailed in Grenada proves that the US
imperialism is the most heinous and imprudent aggressor, the
international gendarme and breaker of global peace.
The DPRK
government and people, sharply denouncing the US armed invasion against
Grenada as a wanton violation of the sovereignty and territorial
integrity of the people of Grenada and blatant challenge to the
Caribbean region and global peace, extend full support and solidarity to
the righteous struggle of the people of Grenada against US imperialism.
If US imperialism resorts to reckless aggression and war
maneuvers against newly-emerging countries, despite of the strong
denunciation of the governments of world peace-loving nations, will face
serious blows.
US imperialism should give up military intervention and aggression acts and withdraw its troops from Grenada immediately.

On October 26, 1983, the then Revolutionary Reunification Party Central
Committee, through means of radio and newspaper, condemned the US armed
invasion as an aggression of violating the sovereignty of Grenada,
international law and international practice. It vehemently censured
that the invasion clearly showed the US is the chieftain of aggression
and war and the heinous strangler of sovereign independence.
