Ireland KFA Statement on the Day of the Shining Star

On this the occasion of the Dear Leader's birthday KFA Ireland would like to pay tribute to the heroic exploits of Kim Jong-il. The 16thof February marks the 72nd birthday of one of the most courageous and brilliant leaders our world has known. Throughout his life, a life devoted to the service of his country and its people, the Dear Leader selflessly laboured for the causes of Sovereignty, Socialism and Unification on the Korean Peninsula.

While learning from the Great Leader Kim il-Sung, the founder of the Democratic People?s Republic of Korea, Kim Jong-il studied the philosophy of Juche diligently and developed a strong understanding not only of political theory, but also how that theory could be applied to help the workers of his country. Through his brilliant understanding of theory, through his study of socialism and Juche, Kim Jong-il understood and further developed the revolutionary theory that guides the DPRK.

The Dear Leader was also a faithful servant and worker for the Workers Party of Korea. He drove the party forward and kept it strong. He understood that the party must be a revolutionary one, one that rejected the malignancy that is revision. He was a lifelong fighter for the cause of the WPK and its Juche ideals.

The Dear Leader though also knew the importance of a leader being in constant contact with his people. Kim Jong-il struggled alongside his people and made constant field visits to see how the practices of the leadership of the DPRK were benefiting the people. He lived to improve the lives of his people and their happiness and comfort was paramount in his mind.

Upon the death of his father, the Great Leader and Eternal President Kim il-Sung, Kim Jong-il took a country suffering the loss of a father-like leader and helped heal the wounds of loss. With his genius leadership he continued the cause of Juche and carried on the work of the Great Leader. While carrying forward the great socialist traditions of Kim il-Sung he also strengthened the military as a means of defending the DPRK against Yankee imperialists and the aggressive puppets in Seoul.

As chairman of the National Defence Commission, Kim Jong-il conducted the forces responsible for the security of the country. He ensured that the Western imperialism that has for decades threatened the security of the DPRK was kept at bay. He continued the work of building a strong and efficient military force to defend the people of his country.

As a selfless leader and servant of his nation, his people, his party and his ideals, Kim Jong-il was a hero to all those around the world who live under the tyranny of capitalism or in the chains of imperialism. His message resonates throughout the world and inspires both young and old minds on every continent. In our country, a country living partitioned by imperialism and under the slavery of capitalism, we look now to Kim Jong-il and his great contribution to freedom and revolution. He is a hero to all those who are cold, hungry or living in slavery. His undying spirit shall continue to be a source of great inspiration to all for all eternity.
