The
Association For the Study of Songun Politics UK and the Juche Idea
Study Group of England today issued the following statement on the
occasion of the20th anniversary of the publication of "Socialism Is the
Life of Our People " bythe great leader comrade Kim Jong Il.
The work was published at a time when the imperialist reactionaries
were trumpeting about the so-called collapse of socialism and even going
as far as to proclaim "the end of history " . The frustration of
socialism had occurred not due to any fault or defect of socialism but
because of the treacherous moves of the modern revisionists and
renegades of socialism who were hand in glove with the wicked US
imperialists. The great leader comrade
Kim
Jong Il hit back against the imperialists with a number of brilliant
works which were like red thunderbolts knocking the imperialists and
vicious reactionaries.
In
the work "Socialism is the Life of Our People" the great leader comrade
Kim Jong Il explains that it is impossible for the imperialists and
reactionaries to knock down socialism in the DPRK because it is the life
of the people is intimately bound up with it . As he says
" Socialism is the life of our people. Whether our people
remain alive or die, i.e., whether they lead an independent and creative
life as masters of the state and society or become the slave of others,
getting maltreatment and contempt, depends on whether they defend
socialism or not. As the song goes, socialism defended means victory and
socialism abandoned means death. Whatever the difficulties and trials, we
must never abandon the socialism we chose and are building by our
efforts."
The
great leader comrade Kim Jong Il explains that Korean style socialism
is strong and has vitality because it has the ideological foundation of
the Juche idea. Without a strong ideological foundation socialism can be
knocked down by reactionaries and class enemies.
The
great leader comrade Kim Il Sung had always applied Juche strongly in
all fields right from the start hewing out a proud and rugged path of
independence.
Great comrade Kim Jong Il called for cherishing the Juche idea as the faith of the Korean revolution.
It is pointed out in the work that it is a slander to
call socialism "totalitarian "etc. Rather it was those who had restored
capitalism on the soil of socialist countries that ruled by decree even
banning communist parties.
In
the work the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il points out that
Marxism-Leninism on the one hand has historical limitations but on the
other hand a
nihilistic attitude to Marxism-Leninism should not be taken. Works such as
Capital should be studied.
As comrade Kim Jong Il says
" When writing articles about the limitations of
Marxism-Leninism we must not fail to explain the exploits their creators
accomplished. Only then can we give a correct understanding of
Marxism-Leninism to the people and deal a blow to the imperialists and
bourgeois restorationists who are caviling at this
ideology.
This
work brilliantly defended the idea of socialism. It also proved the
superiority of Juche-based socialism of Korean -style. The validity of
the work has been proved in practice as Korean -style socialism has
proved its durablity
whereas
capitalism has become mired in endless crisis and bankruptcy. Upholding
the great leader comrade Kim Jong Il in high esteem for his great
theoretical exploits the Korean people led by dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un will win final victory.
