DPRK′s Treasured Swords for Victory in Its New Century

Pyongyang, January 10 (KCNA) -- For the army and people of the DPRK, Juche 101(2012) is the year when a new century starts.

The joint New Year editorial defines the courageous mettle of the brilliant commanders of Mt. Paektu and their way of offensive as treasured swords for sure victory in the grand march of the new century.

In the past century Kim Il Sung's nation won victories with the treasured swords.

President Kim Il Sung achieved the historic cause of the national liberation through a protracted fight against the Japanese imperialists with neither state-backing home front nor support from a regular army.

When the U.S. imperialists, boasting of their numerical and technical superiority over the DPRK, launched an attack on the country, backed by its 15 satellites, the south Korean puppet army and Japanese militarists, he won the fatherland liberation war in the spirit of stubborn offensive.

Kim Il Sung made the U.S. imperialists kneel down before the Korean people with a strong will to answer their retaliation with retaliation and their total war with a total war when their armed spy ship "Pueblo" illegally entered the territorial waters of the DPRK, driving the situation to the brink of a war.

In 1993, after the end of the cold war, when the imperialists launched a general offensive against the DPRK to stifle it, causing deep concern of the world, leader Kim Jong Il, an illustrious commander of Mt. Paektu, declared a state of semi-war in the country and the DPRK quitted the Nuclear Non-proliferation Treaty (NPT), making the imperialists bite the dust.

The world admired Kim Jong Il, correct in judging, strong in resolution and merciless in strike, for his invincible spirit of offensive, boldness and superb stratagem.

Kim Jong Il, with an iron-willed pluck and boldness, won one victory after another in the politico-military confrontation with the imperialists.

The DPRK has become a socialist bulwark which the enemies do not dare to provoke. It is thanks to the revolutionary disposition and leadership of the illustrious commanders of Mt. Paektu, who overcame all adversities with confidence in victory.

The Korean revolution will continue to emerge victorious under the leadership of Kim Jong Un, another illustrious commander identical to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il. -0-
