Worker-Peasant Red Guards Parade Held with Splendor

Pyongyang, September 9 (KCNA) -- A parade of the Worker-Peasant Red Guards was held with splendor at Kim Il Sung Square here Friday in celebration of the 63rd founding anniversary of the DPRK.

Marching past the tribune of honor, the paraders offered warm salute to leader Kim Jong Il, who has built up the Worker-Peasant Red Guards into invincible combat ranks, turning the whole country into an invulnerable fortress.

While the columns of motorized units rolled past the tribune of honor, the crowd who packed the square displayed letters "Kim Il Sung," "Kim Jong Il" and "Glory" and flags of the DPRK and the Workers' Party of Korea in succession.

At the end of the parade leader Kim Jong Il came out to the balcony of the tribune of honor and warmly acknowledged the cheers of the crowd.

The mammoth parade fully demonstrated the fixed faith and will of all the servicepersons and people to hold in high esteem President Kim Il Sung as eternal President of the DPRK and the sun of Juche for all ages, build a thriving socialist nation and achieve the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche true to the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il. -0-
